Rubber prototype production
We are experts in rubber prototype production. There are often a lot of questions at the start of product development. Does the geometry fit? Are the mechanics as we expect them to be? Is the material suitable and resistant to mechanical stress, etc.?
Ultimately, this can only be determined by building a tool and producing a sample from the original material, combined with the corresponding fixed costs and the risk that it will not fit and changes will have to be made.
Not so with Möllering. We have a wide range of sheet tools from which we can press all mixtures into sheets in our molded part production. The desired prototype is then mechanically processed in the rubber freehand production department. This combines the desired geometry with the designated series material. This results in a gain in knowledge that cannot be compared with any other prototyping process.
This is also the case with this example. The special material requested by the customer is to be tested for its mechanical behavior with the existing geometry. There are no avoidable tool costs here. By combining our own plate production and freehand production, we manufacture the prototype from the series material and reduce the risk for the start of series production. An efficient and cost-effective way for meaningful test series. And if series production is required after successful tests, we are at your side with our experts in molded part production.
